This website is about working for Christ in your street.

It emphasises both the unity of God’s family and also evangelism. May God anoint and bless you as you read this, and may He equip you to be a “light in your street” wherever you are.

Christ’s church is like a beautiful cut glass bowl that fell and broke into many pieces. Each piece of the bowl can only contain a little of the life-giving water which the whole bowl should hold. Jesus can fit together the broken pieces of His church, making us one again in Him, and filling us so that we overflow with the Holy Spirit. As we gather together with other Christians in our street, the Lord is repairing His church[i].

As we befriend others in Christ’s name, we lead them to God. Jesus Christ is building His church through us – as we abide in Him, love others as He loves us, share the Gospel and help them learn to follow Him. All people belong together in God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – and become His community, His family.

·         “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea”. (Habakkuk 2:14)

·         "That they may be one; as Thou, Father, art in Me, and I in Thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that Thou hast sent Me." (John 17:21)

·         “We proclaim Him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ”. (Colossians 1:28)

·         “They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts”. (Acts 2:46b)

Let us now live the vision of God's new society with Jesus Christ transforming every street, neighbourhood, city and country; with people loving, serving and praising God in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ (Philippians 2:10,11). We are the first-fruits of God’s new creation. In every street may there be those who love Jesus Christ and follow Him, meet to pray and worship God, learn more of Him, work together in unity, love their neighbours in practical ways, share resources, evangelise, help the sick and weak, combat evil and the exploitation of others and the creation, follow the Bible alone, and have no denomination except "Christian". May all Christians participate according to their gifts - like all colours of the rainbow combining in God's pure white light (1 Corinthians 12:7; John 17:20,21; 2 Corinthians 8:13-15). May these street fellowships help to revive God’s people and renew society – like little polystyrene balls which fill a sunken ship and lift it to the surface again.
