The following list of values may be useful when thinking of who should participate in the street fellowship:
1) Acknowledging Jesus as the Messiah, the Lord, the Son of God (Romans 10:9,13).
2) Repenting of our sins and being baptised in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 2:38).
3) Being committed to obeying the Lord Jesus and being filled with His Holy Spirit (John 15:10; Ephesians 5:18-20).
4) Following the Bible as the Word of God and our only rule (Matthew 4:4).
5) Co-operating with other groups of Christians – acknowledging the unity of God's people (John 17:20,21) – though we must always be guided solely by Scripture – we can neither add to it nor take away from it.
6) Selfless service to others, focusing on community life – with minimal structures (Mark 10:43-45; Acts 2:45).
7) Justice and equality of opportunity for everyone in the world – no-one should be deprived of help just because they lack money (2 Corinthians 8:13-15).
